To be eligible for the DEECA 2026 Science Graduate Program, you must:

• an Australian citizen, or
• a permanent resident of Australia, or
• a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport, or
• a citizen of another country with a current visa that allows you to work continuously and full-time in Australia until at least 28 January 2028.
• have completed your undergraduate degree between January 2021 and January 2026*
• not have taken voluntary redundancy from the Victorian public sector in the 3 years up to the program start date of February 2026.
• Be available to start full-time work on 2 February 2026

*Completion dates: The eligible dates are based on the degree completion date as confirmed by the university or in the transcript. This is not the degree conferral date or graduation ceremony date. Students must complete all components of the degree, including any work placement requirements.
